Elisabeth Stray Pedersen is a Norwegian fashion designer and entrepreneur with a background in fashion womenswear design. In 2015 she became the owner of the Norwegian heritage brand Lillunn est. in 1953, a company well known for its iconic products, complete with a manufacturing studio. Her explorative approach to sustainable manufacturing inspired her to establish the contemporary design studio ESP Oslo, at the same time giving her more freedom and flexibility in the design process. Elisabeth represents a new generation of Norwegian fashion designers who aim to combine product development and local manufacturing into her business model, and thus bringing "Made in Norway" to the core of her designs.
ESP partnered with Oslo Runway for the first time in 2016, attracting attention from national and international audiences. Today the brand is represented in showrooms in New York, Stockholm and Copenhagen. At the end of 2017 the factory and studio moved location into the capital of Norway, Oslo marking a new era of urban manufacturing. The factory specializes in wool coats and scarves. The wool comes from the finest Norwegian lambswool from free-range stock in the mountains of Gol. The wool is Cradle to Cradle, Nordic Swan and Woolmark certified. Lillunn collaborate with a selection of local crafts guilds from Norway like their ribbon maker by the mountains of Dovre and the thread maker by the mountains of Romsdalen. We pursue to discover new approaches of engaging with our customers through digital and more flexible setups, joining online stores and communities, pop-ups and shop in factory concept.
