Fashion author, editor and consultant, former Editor-at-Large, American Vogue

André Leon Talley is currently American Vogue's podcast host, and contributing editor. He is the former American editor-at-large for American Vogue, first joining the magazine as Fashion News Director in 1983, before becoming Creative Director 5 years later. He left Vogue and moved to Paris in 1995 to work for a W magazine, and served as contributing editor at Vogue. In 1998, he returned to Vogue, as the editor-at-large until his departure in 2013.

Talley has been a front-row regular at fashion shows in New York, Paris, London and Milan for more than 25 years. He uses his influence to promote young fashion designers and mentors young talent in other fields.

An acclaimed author, Talley has penned Oscar de la Renta: His Legendary World of Style (Rizzoli), Little Black Dress (Rizzoli) and also Valentino: The Emperor's Table (Assouline). Talley is currently curating the retrospective on Oscar de la Renta at De Young Museum, March 2016.
